About
What this is
A short pilgrimage you can finish in one sitting. A messenger named Hermes answers a signal from Earth, restores five sanctuaries of open intelligence, and carries the assembled light back down. It is a story about why open, verifiable, distributed intelligence matters — told as a place you can move through rather than an essay you read.
What this is not
An independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Nous Research or any of its team. There is no token, no sale, no purchase, no marketplace, no wallet requirement and no financial promise of any kind. Nothing here is investment advice.
Your data
Progress is stored on your own device by default. Signing in is optional and adds a cloud copy of the same passport so you can continue elsewhere; you can sign out or reset at any time. No analytics profiles are built about you, and progress is never sold or shared.
Accessibility
Captions are on for every signal. Reduced motion can be switched on before or during the pilgrimage from the passport. Every sanctuary is reachable by keyboard, and the star map is a full-quality second door — never an error screen — for devices that can't draw 3D. No state is signalled by colour alone.
Credits
Story, design and code by an independent builder. Hermes is rendered from original pixel art. The ideas dramatised in each sanctuary belong to the open research community that published them; the Codex links to those sources directly.
